For Christmas I promised Abigail that we would go climbing regularly this year. This is a BIG deal. I am not fond of heights. They don’t effect me too much… I just start shaking uncontrollably and hyperventilating. Today we went for the first time this year. I learned that if you are planing to start a fight against gravity make sure you bring 2 things, rope and Abby. Gravity hates the rope, but more importantly I think gravity is scared of Abby.
.
Climbing today was an uncomfortable experience.. but I was glad that Abby was the one on the ground making sure that the heights couldn’t have their way with me.

Marriage requires us to leave our comfort zone. This I think is a good thing to embrace rather than to “just deal with.” When we chose to proactively leave our comfort zone for/with others we can grow. But when we actively avoid leaving our comfort zone I think we slowly depend more on the things that comfort us than the loved ones in our lives. And there is nothing worse than being replaced by something.
