We have opportunity in our lives to slow down and witness that there are others who are also living life. I got my hair cut today. I always enjoy getting to know the person who is cutting my hair. We are both stuck there so why not? My barber today is from England, she told me that her parents where in town and she would rather be there then at work. For a brief second, a passing moment, I thought about the parents who flew from England to surprise their daughter. I will never meet them, but I can only imagine the joy that is felt after closing such a great distance with family. I fully understand the lack of motivation, the dread as time slows down to trap you at work for even longer. I can’t remember her name. My biggest regret. But I hope she has a wonderful time with her family this new year. Luckily my hair cut was executed far better than this drawing. I too don’t want to work today.
