Sometimes life feels like free falling without a parachute. It’s going to end eventually. (hopefully not by a surprise) you have some control over where you go, but not much. You have more control over who you can be close to. And sometimes you have a moment or two when you can hold on to something or someone. But no matter what you do, you will continue to move forward.

I think the surprising thing about marriage for me is how marriage didn’t just solve loneliness. There are these moments when you are close in the air and you can hold onto each other. Like spending a few moments more in bed together in the morning, a look at dinner, taking time out of a busy day to just be by each other, or finding each other’s hand in a movie. But the rest is just falling with each other, and trying your best to stay in the same place in the air.

Abby and I get to spend a lot of time with each other. I hope that our time together continues to get better, and closer.
